Hong Kong’s English daily South China Morning Post and Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) have dominated the 10th Asian Digital Media Awards, winning more than half the 30 prizes on offer for outstanding digital content and products.
Organised from November 18 – 22 in New Delhi, the 13th International News Media Association (INMA) South Asia Media Festival was themed on topical and relevant current landscape—‘What matters most now: how to win in a world of unprecedented competition and disruptive changes.’ Delegates at the festival gained insights and a forward looking perspective into the unique strategies and best practices of the South Asian news media industry.

Collaboration between Uttarbanga Sambad and Q.I. Press Controls (QIPC) will be further intensified as the leading Bengali daily is investing in new systems from the Dutch specialist in measuring and control equipment. The new installation consists of two different parts—ten mRC-3D cameras for automatic colour register control and two mRC-3D cameras as an extension of the newspaper’s existing automation system.
Announcing an amalgamation of world-class Japanese and Indian technologies, Manugraph India has sealed a deal with the Japanese company Seiken Graphics to manufacture a highly advanced double width, single circumference 4×1 web offset press. The press will be manufactured at Manugraph’s state-of-the-art facility in Kolhapur.
